The Fourth Open SEAFOODplus Conference was a great success, and had about 200 participants for the two open days. All presentations and pictures from the conference will soon appear on this website.

4 June: workshops and reception

5-6 June Conference Programme

The latest innovative SEAFOODplus research results of highest relevance for the industry, scientists of various disciplines, and policy makers was presented during the full two day programme consisting of 5 sessions.

Session 1: Nutrition, gastronomy and consumer research in seafood
Session 2: New seafood supply from aquaculture and the need for traceability
Session 3: Seafood Safety - Controlling microbial risks
Session 4: Sustainable and ethical aquaculture production
Session 5: Initiatives for industry integration in research & innovation


5 June Conference Banquet

20:30  Gala Dinner at restaurant Basseri Maitea in Forua



SEAFOODplus invited scientists to present posters where authors presented their work, latest results or gave an introduction to interesting, innovative work.

7 June: Project meetings
The SEAFOODplus partners is having their closed project and pillar meetings at the BEC Conference centre. 


8 June: External Advisory Board

The External Advisory Board met with the SEAFOODplus Council at the Technalia Centre close to Bilbao airport.
