SEAFOODplus will again exhibit at the European Seafood Exposition (ESE) in Brussels 24-26 April 2007, sharing a stand with EUROFISH in Hall 7, Stand 2045. Come and visit us.
Lipid oxidation was the subject when a visiting scientist from Spain, Isabel Sánchez-Alonso, stayed at Chalmers University in Sweden as part of the training programme of SEAFOODplus. It was shown that white grape dietary fibres stopped oxidation in washed cod mince models.
The Conference will be opened by Director Christian Patermann from DG Research at the EC, and several top keynote speakers will present the most recent research results targeting industry interests. As a new development authors outside SEAFOODplus are encouraged to present posters.
Researchers within SEAFOODplus finds it rewarding to integrate research across disciplines and has now found a new approach for investigating impacts of ethical farming conditions of cod on quality attributes, consumer perception and other aspects. The name of the new project is ETHICOD.
Fourteen company profiles were registered for the first partnering event within SEAFOODplus. A successful transfer of innovative research results to the seafood industry by the organisation of a qualified face-to-face forum was realised.
