Partner 63: Marinova Aps

 Marinova started out in the 1980s as a research project under the management of the association of Danish Fish Processing Industries and Exporters (DFE), and Mrs. Greta Jakobsen. In 1993 the company was taken over by Mrs. Greta Jakobsen, and has since been a fully commercial company. Marinova is located in Højmark, just inland from the West Coast of Jutland, and gets the raw material it needs from local processors. Marinovas mission is in the words of proprietor and managing director Greta Jakobsen, ‘to upgrade every part of the raw marine material from the Danish fish processing industry into new and innovative seafood products’. Marinova constantly carry’s out research and development activities, looking for new ways in which to utilize by-products from the fish processing industry and works closely with customers and institutes to develop new products. Marinova exports nearly all (90%) of the company’s production, mostly to Europe, but also the Fareast.
