Budget RTD meeting Copenhagen

28-08-03 - On 29 August a RTD meeting of SEAFOODplus was held in order to discuss the outcome of the scientific evaluation report of the Commission on the SEAFOODplus proposal and in particular the needed reduction in EU grant. The requested EU grant was 26.6 MEuro for SEAFOODplus but the EU grant available is 14.4 MEuro.

All RTD pillar coordinators of SEAFOODplus presented the possible reductions in budget based upon a closer prioritisation of the research activities within each project of the six pillars. In a good team spirit and under the stimulating chairmanship of Torger Børresen it was possible to make principal agreements about the reductions needed.
It is the aim that all RTD pillar coordinators within one week deliver the final proposals for the revised budget. This information will be used for the preparation for the final proposal for the SEAFOODplus council meeting on 18 September in Vigo, Spain.
It is the aim to deliver not later than 3 October a revised work programme and budgets of SEAFOODplus to the Commission for further negotiations.
