May 28. 2004During a two-day meeting, 27-28 May 2004, the ITD team met in Lisbon for discussing important actions during the first year of SEAFOODplus operation.
As a result, different guidelines will appear as e.g. for dissemination, for publishing papers, and for creating new business activities originating from research of SEAFOODplus. The ITD pillar activities are strongly linked, so different ITD coordinators need to collaborate to formulate some of the guidelines. The team also considered the programme for the SEAFOODplus October event in Copenhagen. The programme for the open conference day is almost finalised, and the planning of the closed meeting October 5 and 6 were decided. A topic of much debate was the problem of handling all the interests received from industry and research institutes for joining SEAFOODplus. It was decided to elaborate further on a structure where ‘Associates of SEAFOODplus’ could be invited to have contact to the project upon agreed conditions, but such that the number of associated were kept within certain limits. Associates adopted for the first 18 months project period could work towards obtaining full partnership for the second 18 months period, provided this would add synergy to the SEAFOODplus programme.
